COVID -19 WEEKLY UPDATES

Dear Terraces families and friends-

In our continuing efforts to share information with you in real time regarding The Terraces’ COVID status, for the foreseeable future, you should probably expect at least two communications a week as new developments come to light.

We are so relieved to announce that, of the 86 tests we administered to residents last Friday, 84 came back negative and two came back as inconclusive. “Inconclusive” simply means that not enough of a sample was captured to yield a result one way or the other. Those two residents have been retested and we will share the final results as they come in. We continue to monitor everyone closely with regular temperature and oxygen level checks. As reported in my last update, we will continue to test weekly until we have two consecutive weeks with no positive results from residents or staff. At that time, we can consider reinstituting family visits and group activities. Regular monthly testing of residents and staff will follow thereafter.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this great news. Even better, with this week’s vaccine rollout, it seems like there’s light at the end of the tunnel .
